For properties that operate on fixed changeover days, ensuring that guests arrive and leave on specific days is crucial for managing turnover efficiently.

Using No Check-In and No Check-Out rules, you can enforce specific arrival and departure days—perfect for properties that operate on weekend stays, weekly bookings, or fixed rental cycles.

By restricting check-in and check-out on specific days, you can avoid operational disruptions, ensuring that your housekeeping and maintenance teams have enough time to prepare rooms between stays.

Unrestricted check-ins and check-outs can create awkward one-night gaps that are difficult to fill. By setting structured changeover days, you can maximise occupancy and improve revenue efficiency.

No Check-In & No Check-Out rules apply per rate type, giving you full control over different pricing models, promotions, and room categories. If you have multiple rate types, simply apply the rules across each one for consistency.

These rules can be quickly set up within the Inn Style Price Updater, allowing you to make adjustments as needed for different seasons, holidays, or operational requirements.

HOW CHECK IN/OUT DAYS WORKS

A No Check-In Rule prevents guests from arriving on specific days, but they can still stay over or check out on those dates. Example: If you set a No Check-In rule for Mondays, guests can arrive on any other day but not on Mondays.

A No Check-Out Rule prevents guests from departing on specific days but still allows them to check in or stay over. Example: If you set a No Check-Out rule for Mondays, guests who stay on Sunday must extend their stay until Tuesday or later.

Many properties prefer fixed changeover days to streamline operations.

Let’s say your preferred changeover days are Monday and Friday, meaning; guests can check in on Monday and stay until Friday (or for a full week). Guests can check in on Friday and stay until Monday (or for a full week).

When selecting dates, guests will only see Monday and Friday as available arrival days. When clicking on an available date, they will only see stay durations that align with your rules. If they attempt to book a stay that doesn’t follow your set rules, it won’t be possible.
