HOW ZAPIER WEBHOOKS WORK
o set up Zapier Webhooks, you first need to enable webhooks in your Inn Style account. This can be done by navigating to Account > Extensions and installing the Zapier Webhooks integration. Once installed, go to Settings > Webhooks to generate a unique webhook URL that will be used for data transfers. Next, log into your Zapier account and create a new Zap, selecting Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger app. Choose Catch Hook as the trigger event, which will allow Zapier to receive reservation data from Inn Style. Copy the webhook URL generated in Zapier and return to Inn Style > Webhooks Settings, where you will paste the URL and specify which reservation events should trigger the webhook, such as new bookings, cancellations, or modifications.
If a guest has been added to your Waiting List, you will be notified in the notifications area of the Inn Style property management system, and you will be able to see all guests who are on the Waiting List.
Once the webhook is active, you need to map the data within Zapier. To do this, initiate a test booking so Zapier can capture sample data from Inn Style. Use the Zapier interface to assign data fields to the destination app, whether it’s a Google Sheet, Slack notification, Mailchimp email, or another tool. For example, you might send guest details to a CRM, notify your team of new bookings, or generate an invoice in your accounting software.
After mapping the data, activate your Zap, ensuring it runs smoothly by monitoring incoming reservation data. Once confirmed, your automation will be live, allowing reservation data to flow seamlessly between Inn Style and your chosen applications.
