Inn Style talks to Qambathi Mountain Lodge about their experience using the system.
Qambathi Mountain Lodge is a boutique, off-grid lodge in the Kamberg Valley, Drakensberg, South Africa. They have five individually styled suites (Stable, Classroom, Greenhouse, etc.), a fine-dining restaurant, spa, horse outrides, and unique experiences such as a vulture hide and guided fly fishing. The lodge is set within a declared protected environment, making it a haven for biodiversity and conservation.
What challenges were you having and why the change in systems?
We have used PMS systems for several years. Before Inn Style, we used RoomRaccoon, but quickly realised it wasn’t the right fit for us.
Our old system was far too expensive, with tiered pricing that meant we only had access to a small portion of the features. Any extra functionality — even something simple like adding a new user — required a massive jump to the next tier. On top of that, their support was very poor, which made the experience frustrating and unsustainable.
We were looking for a system that was easy to use, with excellent support, seamless integration with major OTAs, flexible reporting, and a system that empowers both owners and staff to manage reservations with confidence.

The interface is intuitive and clean, meaning staff don’t require long training sessions. Tasks like adding bookings, updating rates, or adjusting rules are quick and logical.
Features that are most appealing to us are the channel manager, reporting tools, and automated emails. Also, the Google Hotels connection has been a big win.

Exceptionally well. The team is responsive, friendly, and proactive. They don’t just provide answers but also suggest better ways of doing things. Whats more the support team almost always within minutes — the speed is outstanding.
